Public Adjuster's Success Story: Avista Hotels

Avista Hotels operates numerous hotels and rental properties throughout Orlando and central Florida. The hurricanes of 2004 damaged many of their hotels requiring millions of dollars in repairs to the structures and their contents. Avista contacted their insurance carrier, who promptly inspected all reported claims of damage to the property. After their inspection of the losses, the insurance carrier explained to the insured that the damage did not exceed their deductible; therefore no payment would be issued. Charles R. Tutwiler and Associates, Inc. was hired to represent the insured and after several months of investigation, we prepared and submitted a claim for each property. Settlement discussions began with the carrier and after numerous failed attempts to resolve the loss, a compromised settlement was reached in the amount of $3,452,487.49 for the damage to all the properties.
