We are pleased to highlight the community service activities of our outstanding staff and applaud their ongoing efforts to make our community better such as this 2020 Public Adjuster School Donation at Christmas.

Windstorm Insurance Network Philanthropy

Rick Tutwiler was appointed President of the Windstorm Insurance Network (WIND) in 2019. While President, Rick was honoreded to present a check on behalf of WIND to the American Red Cross to aid Hurricane Michael victims with disaster relief.

Metropolitan Ministries

Thanksgiving is a time to gather around loved ones, to be grateful for all that we have been so abundantly blessed with and to spare a thought for those who are not so lucky. Tutwiler & Associates is honored to support the hard work of Metropolitan Ministries by donating turkeys every year in order to make Thanksgiving possible for others. In addition, Public Adjuster Mike Platts has made special donations during the Christmas Season.

Samaritan's Purse

Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine. As a preferred charity of Tutwiler & Associates our firm has donated funds for Hurricane Dorian relief and previous hurricane disasters. See details

The Katie Froeschle Foundation

The Katie Froeschle Foundation provides hope to many in our area by awarding scholarships to deserving students at Florida State University, funding innovative programs that distinguish Florida State as an exceptional institution, and providing grants to organizations that offer support and counseling to families coping with the traumatic loss of a loved one.

The organization also supports the safety training of insurance claims adjusters, in memory of the Foundations's name sake who was murdered adjusting a claim in 2004. That support has turned into a book; Safety In The Field for Public Adjusters published by the American Association of Public Insurance Adjusters. Dick Tutwiler was an early supporter of this public adjuster safety effort and contributed to the book. You can read about those contributions here.

Big Brother - Friends for Life

Rick Tutwiler was recently featured as the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pinellas “Match Moment” for the fine mentoring he has done over 3 years with Little Brother Hyadi. Rick has been a strong role model and guiding hand in passing along the importance of education, hard work and good character, resulting in Hyadi achieving good grades and participating in extracurricular activities. Developing Pride in the USA

Tampa Public Adjuster Michael Platts recently partnered with GVB Enterprises to donate 324 copies of the United States Constitution, Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence to the 8th grade class at Pierce Middle School to enhance their learning about the Revolutionary War and the founding of our great nation. As a supporting alum, Dick Tutwiler is proud to support the academic and character building philosophy of the school and invest in cultivating the talent and academic success of students and faculty. This includes the Jacob Oliver & Helen N. Tutwiler Endowed Scholarship. In 2017 Mr. Tutwiler was inducted into Marshall University's Lewis College Business Hall of Fame and honored with a video montage (starts at 1:06).
