A residential community consisting of approximately 190, 2-plex, 3-plex, 4-plex, 6-plex and 8-plex buildings suffered wind/windstorm damages from Hurricane Wilma. After facing the task of assessing the damage to 190 buildings, a deductible of nearly $1 million, and dealing with an insurance company on the brink of bankruptcy, the Board of Directors retained Tutwiler and Associates, Inc. to assist them with their claim. Finally, a settlement was reached for $2.9 million, or $1.9 million net payment after the $1 million deductible.
