In 2004, an assisted living community in central Florida was in the path of Hurricanes Charlie, Frances and Jeanne and sustained increasing damage with each storm. Keith Grams of Tutwiler and Associates, Inc. met with insurance company adjusters who initially argued the extent of damage to the building's roof, exterior and interior finishes. After preparing a detailed and fully documented damage report, the claim package was presented to the insurance company and was settled for more than $1.5 million.
