On March 4, 2010 a fire broke out in this Tampa home causing severe fire and smoke damage throughout. Additional water damages occurred due to the fire fighters futile attempts to extinguish the fire.
As the State Fire Marshal could not determine a cause or point of origin, the insurance company suspected the homeowner started the fire. When a claim for the damages was filed, the insurance company hired a local law firm to conduct an investigation. The owner, having no knowledge or involvement in the accidental fire was fully cooperative in the many examinations under oath and did everything in his power to fully comply with all document requests for information.
However, many months went by and the homeowner was making no progress with his insurance company. On July 21, 2010 public adjuster Rick Tutwiler was hired to assist him with the preparation of his insurance claim and damage estimate as his insurance company had no estimate for this loss.
On March 15, 2011 after many months of negotiation, the insurance company tendered a policy limit payment in the amount of $81,100.00 much to the satisfaction of the insured.
