On September 5, 2013 a water supply line burst in this upscale custom home in Windemere, FL causing significant damage to the master wing section.  During inspection, it was noted that the wood flooring was continual throughout the entire home. Replacing the floor would require extensive demolition as custom stonework, cabinetry, a fire place, and custom bar had all been built on top of the wood flooring. 

After learning of the severe damage, the homeowner who was a very successful European businessman decided it was in his best interest to retain the professional services of a Public Insurance Adjuster.  Shortly thereafter, Mr. Rick Tutwiler was hired based upon the recommendation of a law firm to assist the busy owner with the insurance claims process. 

Soon after, the insurance company scheduled an inspection and sent out a field adjuster to inspect the damage.  Mr. Tutwiler met with the insurance company adjuster and presented his assessment of the damage. When the carrier finally realized the full cost of the loss, they took their adjuster off the claim and brought in a building consultant to support their position. After several negotiations and meetings, Mr. Tutwiler was successful in negotiating a large settlement and the insured was able to hire a qualified custom homebuilder to repair and put the building back to its former beauty.
